State Budget Crisis Continues

While the "Great Recession" has officially come to an end, elected officials across the nation are facing difficult decisions as state and federal legislators decide how to address rising debt and deficits and unprecedented budget shortfalls.

The political parties have been deeply divided on the issue of the the GOP spending bill which includes over $61 billion in spending cuts - including cuts to Planned Parenthood,
recently the March 4 spending bill deadline with a narrowly avoiding a shutdown.

Most states have not fared much better as the union protests that have crippled the Wisconsin state legislature have spread across the nation.
